ABB announces the appointment of Dr. Chun-Yuan Gu, Chairman of ABB China, as Head of Robotics & Discrete Automation (RA) China ad-interim. He replaces James-Gang Li who left ABB due to personal reasons. James-Gang Li was with ABB for more than 20 years and the company expresses its appreciation for his contribution to the business.

ABB集团任命ABB中国公司董事长顾纯元博士暂代ABB中国机器人与离散自动化事业部负责人职务。该事业部原负责人李刚因个人原因，决定离开ABB。李刚服务ABB二十余年，感谢他对公司做出的贡献。
Dr. Gu, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, is a globally renowned expert in Robotics and Automation and joined ABB in 1989 in the company’s Corporate Research Center in Sweden. He has served as Head of ABB’s global Robotics R&D Center in Shanghai, Head of ABB’s Robotics Business Unit and Discrete Automation and Motion Division North Asia and China, Chairman and President of ABB (China) Ltd and following, as President of the company’s Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) region. He graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and received his PhD in engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.

顾纯元博士是瑞典皇家工程科***院士，全球公认的机器人和自动化领域顶尖专家。顾纯元博士于1989 年加入ABB集团瑞典研发中心，历任位于上海的ABB机器人全球研发中心负责人、ABB中国及北亚区机器人业务单元、离散自动化及运动控制事业部负责人、ABB中国总裁兼董事长。之后出任ABB亚洲、中东及非洲区总裁。他毕业于上海交通大学，并拥有瑞典皇家理工***工程博士学位。
